A pair of James McLure one acts. The common threads in these plays are Texas and post-Vietnam America. In Laundry and Bourbon, a woman learns from her neighbors while folding laundry that her Vietnam vet of a husband has been seen around town with another woman, but reveals her inner strength in dealing with her husband’s turmoil since returning from the war. In Lone Star, an vet just returned from the war tries to reestablish his visibility in the community, relating his military and amorous exploits to his adoring younger brother.
